My UX Design Process

Design Thinking Process

Image about design process phases

I’ve created a process to have a solid foundation for my work as a designer within different organisations based on a research-based approach. This method enables an understanding of the inner mechanics of why good designs work.

Agile Methods

Image about agile methods

Using agile methods means getting the prototype in front of real users as soon as possible. Then observing and generating data on how they use it, and iterating the service based on what you’ve learned. Because we are not specifying everything upfront before development, agile methods reduce the risk of mistakes.

Service Design

Service design is the process of tailoring a service to meet the user’s and customer’s needs. It requires a connection to the requirements of all services of a company, complemented by principles of process design, organizational design, information design and technology design.

Research

Research informs each design. Without research designs can be meaningless and ineffective. In the age of ubiquitous design, research is critical. UX research is a systematic process targeting users and their underserved needs. By uncovering problems but also design opportunities, UX research reveals valuable information, fed into the design process.

Testing

Usability testing example image

From Google Analytics to workshops with paper prototypes, surveys, A/B tests with Google Optimize... testing can comprise many techniques. The objective is to understand if the business objectives, current journeys and applications are responding well to a target audience... it's a continuous adaptive process of rediscovery that influences not just the design but also, business decisions and investment projections.
